“You have noticed that everything an Indian does is in a circle. That is because the power of the world always works in circles, and everything tries to be round… The sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are the stars. The wind in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing and always come back again, to where they are. The life of a man is a circle, from childhood to childhood. And so it is in everything where power moves…” Black Elk, Oglala Lakota

You may ask, how can one person help to raise the frequency of the earth?  I believe it begins by opening our hearts to everyone and everything around us. Easy? Not always. But I feel that each kind deed, thought or action we generate is like throwing a positive pebble into the universal pool of consciousness which enables us to raise our vibration and that of our world, creating a tsunami of the highest frequency,  love.

Would love to hear your comments. Happy day!

I believe we have many “earth angels”, but I can easily count two – my Mom and Dad. However, since it’s my Mom’s birthday in a few days, I’m going to speak about her…

My mom has always said that while we’re in Heaven, before we are born, we’re consciously looking for the parents and siblings we want, and that’s how we end up with the families that we’re in.  Well, if that’s true, then I know my siblings and I count ourselves as EXTREMELY LUCKY!

Our mom has always been there for us…  Over the years, she’s made sure that our clothes were always ironed, we had a cheering section at every sporting event, made every birthday cake by scratch, displayed our presents on Christmas morning in the way that makes you feel as if it’s the most beautiful place on earth, ensured we all attended Catholic school (regardless of how difficult it was financially) and above all, she made us feel as if we had the most loving, support system any child could have. And all she said she’s ever wanted for us is to be happy!  On her birthday, I hope she knows how much she means to us and how much we love her for being our mom, our cheerleader, our friend and our “earth angel” all these years.

I love ya lots, Mom!  Molly Continue reading »

My name is Kate Daly and I was the Admission Director at a place called St. Christopher’s Inn in Garrison, New York. It is a drug and alcohol rehab and a homeless shelter for men. I worked there for 13 years and over those years I have heard and seen wonderful acts of kindness, synchronicity and yes, downright acts of the angels. This is one of my favorite stories.

A young man arrived for admission and I went out to greet him. He looked dazed and somewhat overwhelmed, but this was not all that unusual on the first day at the rehab. I was prompted however to ask him if he was ok.

“I’m ok,” he said. “But you won’t believe how I got here!” Continue reading »

Angels Found in the Tiniest of Creatures
by Jackie Haugh

In 1990, I was the mother of four very active children under the age of eight. My three daughters were old enough to know their boundaries, but not my two-year-old son.

One day, while I was busy cleaning the house, thinking all was well and safe with my babies, I heard the door bell ring. Opening the front door, I found a large, burly construction worker holding my little boy’s hand. Our neighbor down the street was in the middle of massive remodel and everyday Timmy would stare out the window and the watch the trucks go by.

“Lady, I think he belongs to you,” the gentleman said. “I can tell you have a bunch of kids by the balls scattered all over the lawn.” Continue reading »

By Eileen Mankin

Lucky, our special Miracle Dog, came into our life January 21, 2010 when we found him at the animal shelter.  You see, we had moved to North Carolina and the time had come when we were settled in our new home and ready to find that “special” dog for our family. I believe that Divine guidance was in place from that moment on as we searched at several shelters, many web-sites, and than finding his picture on Petfinder and deciding to make the trip to the shelter 50 miles away to see if he was the right one.

When they brought out this sad, bedraggled, soiled and matted little guy with these big eyes, he stole our heart. His condition was such, due to being abandoned for 3-4 weeks by his previous owner and left to fend for himself before neighbors realized that no one was feeding or caring for him.  He was picked up by the Humane Officer, who told us that he jumped right up in her truck when she found him….no need to capture this hungry, lonely, abandoned fella.  He was than sitting in this over-crowded “shelter” facility, with only food and water provided, as he sat in his cage day in and day out for a month, waiting to find a new home, and three days from being put to “sleep.”  Unfortunately, they had no money to examine and treat any conditions that had befallen him. Today signals memories of the past -  lengthy conversations, laughter, the comfort and joy of hearing your voice, and knowing you were just a phone call away. I know you are surrounded with all your heavenly friends and family, and together you are celebrating your remarkable journey on earth. Please know, I too am rejoicing you, yet wishing for one more Father’s Day… one more kiss… one more hug… one more magical moment with” you”- my friend, my hero, my Pop.

Thank you for being an integral part of my life’s journey, adding richness to every twist and turn, filling thousands of pages of my book with your guidance, support,  compassion and sweet priceless Daddy love.  Miss you Pop.  Miss hearing you sing “Thank Heavens for Little Girls.” Miss you clutching my head in your infamous football hold, rocking me in your loving arms saying, “How’s my bird-dog?”  Miss hearing your stories of the past: Navy Captain in World War II; Welek Fabrics – your need to stretch your wings, break loose from the past, and create your own destiny; digging up the neighbor’s tree late at night, replacing it with yours because his tree had a straight trunk and yours was crocked; memories of old friends who came and went, their impact on your life, the lessons you learned; sharing your “egg” story and the importance of keeping life simple; painting pictures of family memories – precious stories held captive in your heart; and so many more.

Miss seeing you in your rocker, gazing into nature, recharging your soul and giving thanks for the beauty of mother earth. Miss you watching your birds, and being drawn into your heart-felt wonder for God’s magnificent little creatures. Just like the birds, destined to fly, the time came for you to fluff your wings and take flight.

Miss you so much, Pop, but am grateful for a heart full of memories embossed with your name that I will always carry in my heart.

Happy Father’s Day…
Forever and Always,
Your Bird-Dog

Dear Mr. Hallmark, Sir:

I am writing to you from heaven,
And though it must appear
A rather strange idea,
I see everything from here.

I just popped in to visit
Your store to find a card-
A card of love for my Mom,
As this day for her is hard. Continue reading »

This blog is dedicated in memory of Braxton Bennet Snyder: 1949-2011

I just received a phone call that a long-time friend passed away on Sunday.  My heart is broken for the family and his loved ones.  Brax is now in the arms of the angels and he’s pain-free.  His authentic spirit will live on through countless, humorous, heart-felt stories. He was a kind man, highly admired, with great integrity, who walked proudly and respectively upon this earth.  His footprints are embedded in the hearts of many. His life was too short but his legacy lives on.  Thank you, Brax, for sharing the priceless and precious gifts of your soul. Continue reading »

Seven years ago today, my son passed away, and my heart broke into a million pieces.  Even though I know he is in a better place, I miss him dearly.

My daughter and I just released 7 colorful balloons, one for each year,  for his party tonight in heaven.  It has become our way of celebrating his beautiful gift of life on earth.
