Send to KindleI just learned a fun exercise from Sonia Choquette during her recent interview on Joy Radio. Want to give it a try? Think about your intentions you want to create. Place your hand on your heart, ground yourself by focusing on your surroundings and breathe. As you connect with your heart, state your intentions out loud, prefaced by the three words below.
Can you feel it? Remember, the heart doesn’t lie.

The bluebird is my favorite bird.
Every year around spring these beautiful creatures arrive
in my backyard and build their nest in their weathered home.
Filled with joy, I grab my camera and click away.
This is one of my all-time favorite shots. It speaks volumes.
Did you know that the keynote words for bluebirds are modesty, unassuming, confidence and happiness?
“The bluebird is symbolic of a passage, a time of movement into another level of being. It is a connection to human fertility and a new confidence and happiness coming into your own.” *
“Bluebirds homes front entrances face south, the direction for awakening the inner child.”*
If a bluebird comes into your life, look for opportunities to touch the joyful aspects of yourself you may have lost touch with and take time to enjoy yourself.
Also, the color blue is associated with the throat chakra, creative expression.
Wishing all joy and happiness today and every day of your life.

Send to KindleWe are all interconnected… across the centuries… across time and space. The wolf we feed affects the whole. In my heart of hearts I believe humanity is shifting into the energy of wolf number two.
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between 2 “wolves” inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Send to KindleWe all have a special way of connecting to our heart. Thirty-eight years ago I sat in meditation for the first time. At first it was hard trying to quiet the chatter of my monkey mind but with time, peace came. Today it is an integral part of my daily life.
How about you? What practice do you have that takes you to the depth of your soul, recharges your spirit and helps you find the joy within?
