The child asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”

“Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.” The child further inquired, “But tell me, here in heaven I don’t have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.” God said, “Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.

And you will feel your angel’s love and be very happy.”

Again the child asked, “And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don’t know the language?”

God said, “Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.”

“And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?”

God said, “Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.”

“Who will protect me?” God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it’s life.”

“But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.”

God said, “Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.”

At that moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, “God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.

” You will simply call her “Mom.”

There’s an old African proverb that says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” And this past weekend at my daughter and future son-in-law’s couples’ wedding shower, I witnessed the beauty of that statement. Continue reading »

When the body bows in worship; the heart is a temple.
~Rumi♥

The bluebird is my favorite bird.
Every year around spring these beautiful creatures arrive
in my backyard and build their nest in their weathered home.
Filled with joy, I grab my camera and click away.
This is one of my all-time favorite shots. It speaks volumes.

Did you know that the keynote words for bluebirds are modesty, unassuming, confidence and happiness?

“The bluebird is symbolic of a passage, a time of movement into another level of being. It is a connection to human fertility and a new confidence and happiness coming into your own.” *

“Bluebirds homes front entrances face south, the direction for awakening the inner child.”*

If a bluebird comes into your life, look for opportunities to touch the joyful aspects of yourself you may have lost touch with and take time to enjoy yourself.

Also, the color blue is associated with the throat chakra, creative expression.

Wishing all joy and happiness today and every day of your life.

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Two Tiny Hands  is a Virginia based nonprofit providing support to families nationwide who have lost a child – miscarriage, SIDS, stillbirth and various other diseases, yet they are committed to helping all families who lost a child.

What do they offer to grieving families who have experienced the unimaginable? Families have access to grieving resources via their website or through their loaning library. Siblings are given care packages: stuffed animal, blanket, and a book, “Little Life, Big Life, ” bringing comfort to their bodies and souls.  Parents receive a photo memorial of their child in canvas print by providing the foundation with an emailed picture.

What a pleasure it was to interview four wonderful, inspirational women (Merissa, Leslie, Lindsey, and Karen) today on Joy Radio.  All these ladies, families and friends, have been touched by Two Tiny Hand’s generosity, kindness, selfless hearts and loving services. It was obvious after speaking to today’s guests that Two Tiny Hands was there for them or their loved one when they forgot how to fly?
