Yesterday, Joy Radio was proud to interview, Don English, author of “Enlightenment of Evil: Murder, Abuse, Transcendence.” Don was born in Munich, Germany, to parents who  proudly served in the United States Army. Don has no formal education, but has attended what might  be called “The University of Life” and earned a PH.D. in the “Art of Survival.” Don graduated from Cosmetology School in 1971 and has owned a successful unique  hair salon since 1978 in Palo Alto, California. Don and his partner, Jim, spend most of their time at Don’s one-of-a-kind secluded beach house perched on a cliff overlooking the Monterey Bay. Both have a dedicated Buddhist practice.

Don English blew the listeners away with his heart-wrenching life’s journey, from hell and back, involving murder, abuse and transcendence.  Don shared how after years of harboring the truth, one of his salon customers encouraged him to write about the harrowing experiences he faced as a child. Don explained how he survived years of hell; compared his journey to Jaycee Dugard’s; enlightened the audience on his choice of word “transcendence”;  and provided insight into his relationship with his brother, mother and father.

Don’s interview is one you won’t want to miss. Love to hear your comments. And his book, “Enlightenment of Evil: Murder, Abuse, Transcendence” is a “must-have.”
